This year's NBA Finals will be a good one. There are four previous finals MVP's Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Tim Duncan, and Tony Parker. Also the Spurs famous big three's era is coming to a close as they try to snag one more ring. While Miami is trying to live up to their famous not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, etc. campaign.

Hawks Trying to Make a Move

The Atlanta Hawks were recently trying to make a move to expand their roster and their winning percentage. The Hawks tried sending letters to all-star point guard Chris Paul and All-star center Dwight Howard. While doing this they might have violating a NBA tampering policy. The hawks might be fined for this.

NBA Finals Game by game prediction

My NBA Finals game by game prediction will come out tomorrow.

NBA Playoffs ECF over

Last night the Miami Heat clinched their birth to the NBA Finals. The final was an embarrassing 99-76. Lebron had a good game scoring 32 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dropping 4 dimes. D-Wade also stepped up big getting his first 20 point game in over a month. Wade also added 9 boards, 6 of which were offensive, to help the Heat's cause. Paul George had a lackluster game with LBJ draped all over him. He only scored 7 points while fouling out of the game. Indiana's starters combined for 16 turnovers (6 of them were David West's), Miami's starters only had 8 turnovers.

The other night Jason Kidd announced his retirement. Grant Hill and Jason Kidd were the Co-ROY winners in 1994-95 and they both retired within a couple days of each other. Jason Kidd had a great NBA career finishing with over 12,000 assists, and 107 triple doubles. He played for 18 years in the NBA, being named to the all-NBA first team 5 times and all-NBA second team 1 time.

NBA Playoffs Game 7!

The Indiana Pacers forced a game 7 with the Heat, after winning 77-91. Paul George and Roy Hibbert each stepped up big combining for 52 points, and 19 rebounds and their +- was + 24. I think that Indiana will win game 7 behind a good performance from David West.

Pacers force game 7 as Hibbert gets fined

In Saturday's press conference Roy Hibbert said a gay slur that was later given a fine of 75K even after his sincere apology. The Pacers then won the game 91-77 to force a game 7.

Last night the Heat took a commanding 3-2 series lead on the Indiana Pacers. The final was 79-90, while the Pacers were up 44-40 after 1 half Miami went on a tear in the third quarter outscoring Indy 30-13. Lebron had 16 in the third and assisted on all but 5 of the other 14 points. LBJ ended with a respectable 30, 8, and 6, and Udonis Haslem stepped up going 8-9 while scoring 16 points. The next game will be back in Indianapolis and the Pacers have to win if they want to keep their title hopes alive.

Redskins to change their name

NBA Playoffs San Antonio Sweeps Memphis

The San Antonio Spurs are going to the NBA finals for the 5th time in 15 years. They beat Memphis 93-86 in the 4th game of the series. Tony Parker did his part for 37 points and 6 dimes. Memphis shot only 37.2 % from the field throughout the whole game. Also Memphis was dominated by the Spurs in one of their strongest statistical categories, points in the paint. Memphis had 32 to SAS' 52.
Sunday night Miami went to Indiana and took care of business with the Pacers. D-Wade had 18 points, 8 assists, and 2 blocks. Every Heat starter had 14+ points. The one positive from the Pacers was the fact that they held Miami to 6 fast break points.

Should the NBA have a 1 year out of high school rule?

Lebron James, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant. When you hear those names you think of Hall of Famers, and some of the top basketball players ever. They were also drafted straight out of high school. There are two sides to every argument and that rule applies especially to this one.

The Grizzlies lost 105-83 to the Spurs in the first game of the WCF. Only two starters from each team played 30 or more minutes in the game.
In the second WCF game every Spurs starter scored in double digits once again. The Grizzlies were held to 31 first half points. The Grizz still managed to take the game to OT, but SAS came out on top 89-93. Z-Bo had 15 points and 18 boards for Memphis, but his 6-18 shooting held them back.

The New York Knicks were on the brink of elimination, facing the Pacers at MSG. Carmelo Anthony had a good game scoring 28 points and grabbing 6 boards. Chris Copeland gave a good effort off of the bench scoring 13 points off the bench while shooting 3-4 from deep. There was a total of 9 fast break points scored in the game 7 of which came from the Knicks. Paul George contributed 23 points, 6 boards, and 6 assists. The Knicks won 85-75. In Oakland, Steph Curry and the Warriors under performed shooting only 25 % from the promise land. While Timmy D and the spurs won by 12. All 5 Spurs starters had at least 11 points.

NBA Playoffs Conference coming

Last night the Heat v Bulls series ended in a tight one. With a final of 94-91 Miami advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals. Carlos Boozer played well with 26 points and 14 rebounds, but Miami played very well as a whole. LBJ had 23 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds, while D-Wade had 18 points in a game he wasn't likely to play in. In the other series ending game last night the Grizzlies beat the Thunder 84-88. Z-Bo stepped up dropping 28 and 14. While Durant tried his best but couldn't keep pace with the Grizz. He had 21, 6, and 8 boards.
Tonight there are two potentially series ending games. The Knicks play the Pacers at MSG. I think that New York will extend the series and Melo will drop 40. But in game 6 the Pacers will close out the Knicks and take on the Heat. The Spurs take on the Warriors at Oracle Arena aka Roaracle. I think that GSW will beat SAS in game 6 but the Spurs will win game 7 behind a great Tony Parker performance.

In a heated Bulls vs. Heat series the Heat found themselves up in the series 3-1. They quickly got to work when they took the 21-4 lead at the beginning of the game. The bulls kept chipping away at the game but couldn't take the W in the end.Carlos Boozer contributed 26 points and 14 rebounds. While Richard Hamilton had 15 points off the bench. Dwayne Wade gave 18 points with 6 assists and Lebron had 26 points and 8 assists. In the Grizzlies vs. Thunder game Kevin Durant left it all on the floor but only shot 5-21. He only had 21 points but still had 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Zach Randolph had 28 points, 14 reound, 2 assists, and 2 steals. The grizzlies won 88-84

Bruins win game 7 and advance

http://bostonherald.com/sports/bruins_nhl/boston_bruins/
2013/05/bruins_win_game_7_in_ot_after_wild_rally
The Boston Bruins had a 3-1 series choke hold on the Toronto Maple Leafs, but then Toronto came back and forced a game 7 in Boston. The Bruins were down 4-1 in the 3rd, but made a miraculous comeback, and forced OT. Patrice Bergeron had 2 goals including the game winner in OT and 1 assist for the Bruins.

Grizzlies and Heat Win

Both the Grizzlies and the Heat won last night to go up 3-1 in there series lead. First the Grizzlies beat the Thunder in OT 103-97. Mike Conley, Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph all scored over 23 points while Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol combined for 23 points. On the East side the Heat wiped out the Bulls 88-65 on Chicago's home court. Surprisingly the Heat only had one scorer over 15 points and Dwayne Wade only had 6 points.

Harper Hurt

Yesterday Outfielder Bryce Harper of the Nationals got hurt in a wall collision. Harper is receiving 11 stitches in his chin and also jammed his right shoulder. This is a pretty bad injury but he won't miss too much time if any.

NBA Playoffs tight series

Last night the Spurs lost to Golden State in OT. The Spurs were 0-7 with a turnover through the first 3 minutes of OT, and they let the game slip away. Manu contributed well with 21 off the bench, but no one else of the San Antonio bench did much of anything. Harrison Barnes and Jarrett Jack each stepped up last night. Barnes had 26 points and Jack had 24, together the two kept GSW in the game.

Will the Brewers finish over .500?

Will the Brewers finish over .500? Will they make the playoffs? Will they stay healthy? Will Corey Hart and Mat Gamel make an impact once back? I will answer all of those and more. I think they will finish barely under .500, their worst possible record being 65-97, and at best probably around 88-74. With that said, I think we will probably miss the playoffs, but we might just sneak into the final wildcard spot. Will they stay healthy? I can't really answer this question but I think we will probably suffer 1 major injury to someone like Braun or Gallardo, and 1 more not as big, like a Rickie Weeks or Willy Peralta. I think Corey Hart will impact some but not a ton. He will probably bat about .275 with 18 home runs over the last 100 games. Mat  Gamel won't impact us and lose his starting job after 10 games.  Will John Axford pick it up? I don't think so. I have no reason to believe he will, and because he didn't do well at the last season either. Lastly, even though this is way down the road, I think the Brewers will sign someone like Matt Garza or maybe Josh Johnson(both free agents) at the end of the season.

MLB Leaders

With MLB Baseball One Month into the season I think it's time to decide whether or not the people that are leading the league in the stats below are Legit  Meaning they keep up the work and have a successful season even if they don't league in the category- or a Fluke- Meaning that this is only a coincedence and they won't even keep a good start going and just bomb the rest of the season.
NL Batting Average Leader: Carlos Gomez MIL .364. Legit- The Only reason that I am saying this is not a fluke is because he showed signs of doing this last year. He won't be hitting as high as he is now but at the end of the year I think he will be hitting around .315 BA.
AL Batting Average Leader: Miguel Cabrera .385 Legit- This guy is on fire, he is showing people that he was meant to have that triple crown last year and he might have a chance at it this year the way he has been hitting. And at the end of the year I think he will end up hitting around .335

Halladay To Have Surgery

Roy Halladay (USATSI)
Halladay Getting Pulled
Roy Halladay the once Ace pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies will under go surgery to "clean out" his pitching shoulder. He said that if he needed surgery that he would retire  but I don't believe it. He should be back sometime this year hopefully and be able to play out the season. Roy Halladay has an 8.94 ERA and a 1.65 WHIP which is among the worst in the league. Maybe after this surgery he come back to be the Ace we all know.

Alex Ferguson the manager of Manchester United has called it quits after over 25 years as head of the most successful soccer club in history. He lead the club to a .750 winning percentage and 4 Fa cup titles. He will be remembered as one of the best managers in soccer history.

Last night the Knicks evened the series with the Pacers on the anniversary of Reggie Miller's 8 points in 8.9 seconds. Carmelo Anthony had 32 points and 9 rebounds, and JR Smith had only 8 points off the bench. Paul George had 20 points for the Pacers, but the Knicks outscored them by 20 points. The final was 105-79 with the Knicks getting a blowout W. The Grizzlies also evened the series with the Thunder with a 99-93 win. Durant had a Lin-like game dropping 36 to go with 11 boards and 9 assists, but had 5 turnovers. Mike Conley had 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists.

Lebron had 24, 8, and 7 but it wasn't enough and the Bulls beat the Heat 93-86. The other game last night was Spurs and Warriors. The game went into double OT, and Manu Ginobili came up big with the game winning 3. The Spurs won, but Steph Curry had a monster game, he poured in 44 points. The final was 129-127.

Golden State Vs. San Antonio

Usatsi_7251931_crop_north
Last night the spurs faced off against the hot Warriors in game one of the series. Stephen Curry, has been unstoppable in the 3rd quarter and in this game he was again. In the 3rd quarter alone he dropped 22 points. At the end of the third quarter the Warriors were up 92-80. But not for long. The spurs roared back in the 4th quarter to force OT. Both teams scored nine points and it was on to 2OT. The Warriors were down by one with less than 10 seconds left when Golden state got a late bucket to take the lead by 1. With only seconds left the Spurs called a timeout. They left Manu Ginobili wide open behind the arc and the ball was directed straight at him. Right when he touched the ball he shot it. Drained! He hit the 3 to go up by 2. The Warriors called a timeout to give themselves a chance but when it was all said and done the Warriors fell in game 1.

NBA Playoffs Round 1 over Conference Semi's underway

All 4 game sixes were won by the team that was up 3-2. The Celtics made a frantic comeback but the Knicks handled them in the final minute and got the W. The Thunder, Grizzlies and Warriors each won their series. The Bulls won game 7 against Brooklyn although they were very shorthanded. Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich were out.
I think that the Heat will beat Chicago in 5, Indiana will beat the Knicks in 7. In the west OKC will win in 6 and SA will win in 6 games.

Bucks Offseason Situation

After losing to the Heat in the first round of the playoffs the Milwaukee Bucks have some decisions to make, and will most likely have to let either Jennings or Ellis go. We could probably afford to pay Redick, but if we wanted to go after someone like a Josh Smith or a Dwight Howard we would probably only keep 1. I think we will keep Jennings even though I think Ellis is better. I think this will happen because we will sign Josh Smith and Jennings said he'd stay if Milwaukee became contenders. I also think Redick will leave.

P.J. Carlesimo Fired as Nets Coach

P.J. Carlesimo was recently fired by the Brooklyn Nets GM. It comes as a surprise to me as he coached  the Nets to a 35-19 record after Avery Bradley was fired. After being released Carlesimo stated that only a title would have saved his job and that even if he won game seven against the bulls it wouldn't have saved his job.

Bulls troubled

With the Chicago Bulls playing the best team in the NBA in the Heat they don't have much chance. To add insult to injury they do not have Rose and Deng for game 1 and maybe more. I project the Heat will sweep the Bulls.

NBA Playoffs Comebacks?

Last night the Celtics and Rockets each won their 2nd straight of the series. The Celtics beat the Knicks 92-86. Kevin Garnett had 16 points and added 18 boards as well. The Knicks were off from behind the 3pt line shooting 5-22. The Celtics also helped their own cause by shooting 100 % from the FT line. Melo dropped 22 but it wasn't enough to end the series. After the game the two teams got tangled up a little but nothing very bad happened. In the Rockets-Thunder game 8 of the 10 starters scored in double figures, and 5 of 5 Rockets' starters scored in double figures. James Harden had 31 points and 8 rebounds while going 7-9 on threes. Francisco Garcia was also launching, as he dropped 18 points on 5-12 shooting from 3 point range. Kendrick Perkins only played 16 minutes, and he could have helped them get the W. Kevin Durant scored 36 points, grabbed 7 boards, and dished out 7 assists. The final was 100-107 Rockets. ATL took on IND and the Pacers dominated the Hawks, 83-106. The Hawks shot only 21.4 % from 3. There was also only a total of 16 fast break points. Paul George had 21 points, 10 boards, and 5 assists on 7-8 shooting.

Raymond Felton scored 21 pts., 6 reb., and 4 ast. for the Knicks

Adrian Payne Staying at MSU

Today Michigan State star Adrian Payne announced he will stay at Michigan State for his Senior Season. This puts Michigan State at 3 in the pre-recruiting rankings but will probably fall after the recruiting process as they don't have the appeal of a Louisville or Kentucky. Some other stars who have announced they are staying include Russ Smith, Mitch Mcgary, and CJ Fair. Some who are leaving early are Nerlons Noel, Trey Burke, Ben Mclemore, and Deshaun Thomas.

Grizz Take Series Lead

Last Night the Grizzlies beat the Clippers 103-93 and take the series lead 3-2. Also for the Clippers Blake Griffin hurt his foot. If the Clippers want to make it deep in the playoffs Chris Paul is going to have to play great. Also The Nuggets beat the Warriors last night 107-100. Stephen Curry felt like he was being targeted. Nuggets got the series back up to 3-2 saving themselves.

NBA Playoffs goodbye AND stayin' alive!

The Heat and Spurs each completed their sweeps of their respective teams (Bucks and Lakers). In LA Dwight Howard got ejected in the 3rd quarter after picking up his 2nd technical foul. The Spurs then were able to easily disarm the Lakers 103-82 in a 4 game sweep. The Heat also took care of the Bucks in 4 with a final of 88-77, D-Wade didn't even play in the last game. Two nights ago Steph Curry went off and gave the Warriors a 3-1 series lead (3-0 without David Lee). Curry had 22 points in a 6.5 minutes stretch in the 3rd quarter. Ty Lawson tried to help the Nuggets cause with 26 points and 6 dimes.
The ATL Hawks evened up their series with the Pacers 102-91. Kyle Korver came up big with 19 off the bench, while hitting 5 threes. Josh Smith also had a good game with 29 points and 11 boards. The Nets also extended their season by beating the Bulls in a crucial game 5. The final was 110-91, Brook Lopez led the Nets scoring charge with 28 points and he even added 10 boards. The Bulls bench was outscored 32-20. The Rockets also extended their series in game 4 to make the series 3-1. Kevin Durant scored 38, but he only took 16 shots (he was 13-15 from the line). Reggie Jackson tried replacing Westbrook and scored 18 points but took 18 shots and only had 3 assists. James Harden only had 15 points, but Chandler Parsons helped shoulder the load with 27 points.

The Sacramento Kings are staying in Sacramento. The NBA owners committee unanimously voted against moving the Kings. It is still possible that the Kings could be moved, but they are safe for now. Sadly, the Bucks and a few other teams are on the list for next franchise that could possibly be moved.

Realignment in BIG 10 Divisions

With the addition of Rutgers and Maryland in 2014 the BIG 10 will have new conference divisions  They will have East and West divisions with the West made up of  Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin. The East includes Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers. Both of the new teams are together, and I think the East is way stronger the the West. The only football top 25 finishers in the West last year were Wisconsin and Nebraska, and the East had Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State went undefeated. Many people think that just adding 1 team to each division was smarter but they wanted to have it location based. They also will be adding a game to the conference schedule in 2016.

In game 4 of the series the Lakers were on there last straw as they were down 3-0 on the series against the San Antonio Spurs. With Kobe out Dwight had to step up. Let's just say he did not. In the third quarter he got hit with his second technical while he only contributed 7 points with 8 boards. The Lakers didn't have a chance as they lost to the spurs 103-82 as they got swept in the series.

Heat Sweep

www.wallpaperdev.com
The Miami Heat completed the sweep of the Milwaukee Bucks yesterday with a 88-77 win at the Bradley Center. This was no surprise of the Bucks ended the season by losing 7 out of 10. I think the Heat will LOSE  in the conference finals to the New York Knicks. And for the Bucks they will not make the playoffs till 2018 when they get the best pick in the NBA draft  because they will lose all of their playmakers like B Jennings and Ellis who stated he is leaving this season.

Thunder Done?

Russell Westbrook is having surgery on a torn meniscus in his right knee. The Thunder are currently up 2-0 in their series against the Rockets. Westbrook is out for the playoffs. Russell scores 29.6 % of their points, and I am pretty sure that Derek Fisher won't be able to fill that void. I think that the Thunder will lose in the conference semifinals to the Clippers.

Fisher goes 1

Eric Fisher from Central Michigan got selected 1 to the Kansas City Chiefs. As most people thought Luke Joeckel would go number 1 he went number 2 to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The weirdest thing is that Manti Teo and Geno Smith didn't get drafted in the first round. We will recap the draft at a different time.

NBA Playoffs Sweeps?

Last night the Heat played the Bucks in Milwaukee and took care of business winning 104-91. The Bucks kept Wade in check holding him to 4 points, but Ray Allen exploded (not quite as much as we see JR Smith often do) for 23 points off the bench in 30 minutes of play. 5 of the 7 Buck bench players combined for a whopping 3 points. If the Bucks don't want to get swept everyone on the roster has to step us Sunday as the Heat only need one more win. The Nets and Bulls played last night in a closely contended series and the Bulls won in a low scoring 79-76 game. 70 % of the total points scored in the game were scored by 6 players. The Grizzlies also took on the Clippers last night and they won 94-82. The series is now 2-1, but it seems like it is going to go at least 6 games if not 7. CP3 was most likely the reason the Clippers lost, he scored 8 points and only had 4 assists, along with 5 turnovers. On the other side Zach Randolph had a great game scoring 27 points and grabbing 11 boards while shooting 50 % from the field and 90 % from the line.

Draft Day

The NFL draft is tonight at 8pm Eastern and no one is the clear number one pick. The Top 5 prospects are all big Linemen. Below I will right about the pluses and minuses of each. They are all in order of there draft grade from www.nfl.com.

Luke Joekel - 95.3 rating. He is a 6 foot 6, 306 pound Offensive Tackle from Texas A&M. He has average speed for a linemen with a 5.30, 40 yard dash time with pretty good strength with his 27 reps at the combine. Luke is the best Offensive Linemen in the cone drill with an outstanding time of 7.40. The down side is he has had very mobile quarterbacks and Alex Smith is not the most mobile QB. He doesn't have very good lower body strength. Is compared to Ryan Clady.

Sharrif Floyd - 94.2 rating. Out of Florida he's an under sized Defensive Tackle standing at 6 foot 3 and 297 pounds. He is a very complete player with above average skill at each drill. He does not excel at any one thing. He runs a respectable 4.92, 40 yard dash to go along with a 30 inch vertical. The down side is he doesn't have elite stamina and changed positions in college so he still is getting use to the d-end spot. Is compared to Muhamed Wilkerson.

Eric Fisher -  Is a towering 6 foot 7, and 306 pound Offensive Tackle from Central Michigan.  He has good  speed for a line men with a 5.05, 40 yard dash  decent strength with also 27 reps. Eric is the Linemen at the broad jump with an astonishing 116 inch broad jump to go along with some nice agility with the best time of 7.44 on the 20 yard shuttle run. The down side is he  hasn't  completely proven himself, needs lower body strength, and lacks hand quickness to strike the other defender.  Is compared to Joe Staley.

Chance Warmack - 93.9 rating.  A 6 foot 2, 317 pound guard out of Alabama. Has elite strength and a great attitude, but with a 5.49, 40 yard dash time he lacks the speed. H is very quick and can pull effective. The only down sides are he lacks speed and can be lazy coming out of his stance at times. Is compared to Chance Nicks

Ziggy Ansah - 93.8 rating.A hit or miss defensive end out out of BYU standing at 6 foot 5 and 271 pounds. A nice 4.63, 40 yard dash time to go along with  the best shuttle run time at 4.26. Doesn't have a very solid build but has bulked up and is still growing. Has elite quickness but lacks stamina after a few plays. Weaknesses are stamina and strength. Is compared to Justin Tuck.

Sanders Gets It

Just revealed Barry Sanders has won the Madden Vote for the cover of Madden 14. This year the people got to pick out of a bracket who wins each match up. They had a old school and a new school side and Sanders beat Peterson in the championship. This has been the second straight Lions player to win the Madden Cover even though they were one of the worst teams in the league last year.

NBA Playoffs Round 1 Halfway Over?

There are currently 6 series that are 2-0. The Pacers game themselves some breathing room last night by beating the Hawks 113-98. Paul George scored 27, grabbed 8 boards, and had 4 steals. The Thunder beat the Rockets in a tight one with a final of 102-105. At the end of the game the Rockets couldn't execute down the stretch. They were down 4 with 14 seconds left and they didn't get of a shot until there was 2 seconds left and it wasn't even a three. James Harden performed well with 36 points, 11 boards, and 6 assists, but it wasn't good enough to beat the Thunder. That could have cost them a chance in this series. The Spurs also put away the Lakers last night 102-91.

Russ Smith Staying Put

Louisville Guard Russ Smith has announced he is staying at L-Ville for his senior season, but Peyton Siva and Gorqui Dieng are leaving. Louisville is still projected a top 5 team at the start of next season. C.J Fair has also announced he is staying at Syracuse.

Penn State's QB Bench Transfers

The very highly recruited quarterback out of high school Steven Bench has announced he will transfer. He has not decided where to yet but Alabama may be interested in him, and that was his second choice coming out of high school. Coach Bill O'Brien says he will help Bench out in any way possible.

Brewers Streak Snapped

The hot Milwaukee Brewers winning streak came to an end last night when the padres won the game 2-1. Carlos Quientin had a homerun and Edison Volquez pitched a solid 7 innings. Estrada also pitched well but neither team could really put up any runs.

Mike Brown signs with Cavs

Will Mike Brown coach Lebron again?
sportsillustrated.cnn.com
Mike Brown finalized a deal with the Cavs last night. It is said to be 4 years and the money hasn't been stated. Many people may think that this will impact Lebron's 2014 FA decision but they are not sure if it will be a positive or negative impact.

Tebow Dropped or Traded?

Now that the Jets traded Darrelle Revis and his salary to the Bucs, Tim Tebow is next on the list. It's no secret that they been looking for a taker but no one seems to want to trade for him. Although the draft is lacking star quarterbacks, teams without a Q.B are content with waiting for the Jets to drop him,as they are liking to cut him.

NBA Playoffs 1st round

Last night there were 3 games. Heat-Bucks, Knicks-Celtics, and Nuggets-Warriors. The Heat handled the Bucks 98-86, and they held Monta and Jennings to 5-22 shooting. JJ Redick only played 8 minutes and all of them were in the first half. The Bucks only had 3 players score in double figures, while the Heat had 5 players in double digits. The Knicks beat the Celtics last night to take a 2-0 series lead. Melo had 34 points to make his series average 35 a night. JR Smith had 19 off the bench in 36 minutes of play. The Warriors evened the series with the Nuggets. Although David Lee is out for the playoffs Steph Curry and Harrison Barnes stepped up and together with Klay Thompson and Jarret Jack they contributed 101 points, 17 boards, and 24 assists. Ty Lawson contributed well with 19 points and 12 assists but it wasn't enough.

Sabathia gets rocked by the hot Evan Longoria's Rays

C.C. Sabathia has gone 3-0 with a 1.56 ERA in his last 3 games but was only 3-8 against the Rays going in. Evan Longoria has hit 4 homers in his last 5 games though and he wasn't backing down. In the first inning Sabathia gave up 4 runs. They tacked on 1 more in the 3rd. They one 5-1. Longoria only went 1-3 with no RBI's.

Sixth Man and Most Improved Players Announced

JR Smith won the sixth man of the year this year averaging 18 points per game. Personally I don't think they should qualify as a sixth man if  they play more than most starters like he does but that's just me.

Paul George won the most improved player award with 17 points on a great Pacers team. I think this was the right choice, as he only averaged 9 before this year. Larry Sanders took second in the voting.

AOTD

Yesterday's answer was David Ortiz. Adm N. was correct. You can still solve the riddle from yesterday until Friday.

2 stars

1. This player was drafted in the same round (but different years) as Steve Smith and plays the same position.

2. This player was born in a place that is not Europe or North America.

3. This player played Quarterback at the same college Champ Bailey's brother attended.

NBA Playoffs Day 4

Last night the Bulls beat the Nets to even out the series at 1 a piece. Also the Clippers beat the Grizzlies on CP3's last second jumper. The final was 93-91, Mike Conley had a playoff career high 28 points and he added 9 assists. CP3 out performed him though finishing with 24 points, 9 assists, and 4 boards. He hit the game winner over Tony Allen with 0.1 seconds left.

Brewers Win Streak

baseball.wikia.com
The Milwaukee Brewers have been doing great as of late, winning 8 straight games. The last time that they won 8 games in a row was back in 2011 in August. With that poor 3-8 start they had to start the season they have now brought there record to 10-8 and are back 1 game in the NL central. They will more than likely sweep the Padres (5-14). Once we get our Aramis Ramirez and Corey Hart back I think we could possibly be able to make a run at the playoffs this year

Clips win game 2

As the Grizzlies lost their second game hope of getting deep in the playoffs was slipping away. The Clips won 93-91 and Chris Paul made a buzzer beating layup for the win. The Clips are leading the series 2-0.

Revis to the Bucs

Recently Darrelle Revis got traded to the Tampa Bay Bucs for the 13th pick in the draft and a 2014 draft pick. Tampa signed Revis for a 6 year deal. This will help out a struggling Tampa pass defense into a medium pass defense.

NFL Mock Draft

This is one of the few years their isn't an obvious number 1 pick, as it could either be Luke Joeckel, or Eric Fisher who are both offensive lineman. This is my 2013 5 pick NFL mock draft.

1- Chiefs- Luke Joeckel- OT- Texas A&M- This is a big 6'6 306 pound lineman who can play guard or tackle. He was faced with the task of protecting Heisman winner Johnny Manziel last year and succeeded. The Chiefs need someone to protect their new quarterback Alex Smith after releasing Matt Cassel.

2- Jaguars- Eric Fisher- OT- Central Michigan- The 6'7 306 pound tackle ends up picked over Dion Jordan simply because he is proven. Jordan hasn't proven himself while Eric Fisher has proved himself plus some. You may say that it's just because of Central Michigan's small conference and he has no competition, but 49ers star Joe Staley is from the CM too and actually gave up more college sacks.

3- Raiders-Shariff Floyd- DT- Flordia- The Raiders have been known to draft based on speed, ex. Darious Hayward-Bey ran the best wide receiver 40 time but ended up going know where in the NFL. I think they will stick with that theme and draft Shariff Floyd out of Flordia. He has an amazing combo of speed and strength, running a 4.87 40 yard dash. He didn't participate in the bench press because of an injury but it's obvious he's strong when you watch his tapes.

4- Eagles- Dion Jordan- OLB- Oregon- The Eagles need a speedy linebacker and will get that with a huge upside player in Dion Jordan. This is a little bit of a hit or miss pick, as he hasn't fully proven himself yet.

5-Lions- Dee Milliner-CB- Alabama- The Lions need 2 things, an offensive lineman or a cornerback. With 2  lineman already gone the Lions will pick up Dee Milliner who ran a so-so 4.3 second 40. He is a great tackler and isn't afraid to hit you hard. He also is very disciplined great at avoiding blocks.

AOTD

The last answer was Ryan Tannehill. Adam N. was right.

☆

1. This player played professional baseball in Wisconsin sometime in his career.

2. This player has won two World Series.

3. This player has 400+ HRs.

4. This player received an award for being the most clutch hitter in team history.

5. He is still playing in the MLB.

NBA Playoffs

Last night the first weekend of the NBA playoffs has ended. David Lee, the Warriors double-double machine on the block is out for the playoffs. This is a big hit to a Golden State team who already isn't a very good rebounding team. Carl Landry will have to step up and play big minutes in GS wants to have a chance at beating the Nuggets, or at least stealing a game or two.

Rooney Done at MU

There are rumors out there that the most storied soccer team ever Manchester United sold Wayne Rooney to Paris Saint German for a whopping 39 million dollars. PSG has made some big moves in the past few years buying  Zlatan Ibrahimovic among other big names, and even tried to acquire Christiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. Manchester United was trying to get more touches for star striker Robin Van Persie and would do so if they in fact sold Rooney. The manager of MU claims he never was in transfer talks about Rooney and that he is "an essential part of our success".
