Chicago Blackhawks On A Great Winning Streak

This team was not supposed to do very well in the regular season but everyone out there was wrong! This team has turned everything around with a great 6-0 start with 12 points. They are 1st in the entire NHL right now. If this team keeps it up they will win the Stanley Cup for sure!

Rondo Out

Boston Celtics all star point guard Rajon Rondo tore his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season. He walked out for warm-ups before Sunday's double overtime game against the Miami Heat, but then was taken to the hospital to get a MRI on his right knee. The date of the surgery has not been scheduled. Celtics coach Doc Rivers gave comments about the news after the game: "Obviously the Rondo news is tough. I knew before the game, but I didn't tell anyone. Obviously it was pretty emotional." Tough break for all Celtic fans, as their team is already two games under .500.

Upsets All Day Long

Today in college basketball there were many major upsets. First in the Big East two top five teams lost. Syracuse who now is 18-2, lost a huge game for them today. Villanova who earlier in this week beat the number 1 team Louisville, beat Syracuse in overtime 75-71.  Ryan Arcidiacono of Villanova hit a game tieing three to go to overtime.

Other Notable Upsets:

5 Louisville Loses to Georgetown 53-51
11 Kansas State Loses to Iowa State 73-67
12 Minnesota Loses to Wisconsin 45-44
15 New Mexico Loses to SDSU 55-34

I suspect Wisconsin will be a top 25 team next week.

Golden State rolling

Last night the Warriors won there 3rd straight game and this one was against the Thunder. Also on Monday they beat the hot Clippers. This year the Warriors have based there team around their point guard Stephen Curry. Curry and also David Lee have been great this year for scoring, as Curry is 8th in the league and Lee is 12th.To add on to those numbers Curry is 13th this year in assists and Lee is 8th in Rebounding. If Mark Jackson keeps on coaching how he has the Warriors are my playoff favorite in the west. They are currently 5th place in the West.

Miami stuns #1 Duke

Miami crushed Duke 90-63. D. Scott of Miami had 25 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Duke is now 3-2 in ACC and Miami is the only 5-0 team in the ACC. This 27 point loss was the 3rd  worst ever by a #1 team. Duke hasn't lost a game by more than 27 since 1984 when they lost to Wake Forest by 31.

Thunder take 2nd Place Clips

Last night the 1st placed Thunder faced off against the 2nd placed Clippers. Blake Griffen had a monster game 31 points 11 rebounds and 5 assists, but the Clippers still couldn't get it done in LA. The duo in the back court for the Thunder was amazing. KD and Westbrook had 57 combined points last night as the Thunder won 109- 97.

Grizzlies Cavs trade.

Memphis and Cleveland just executed a trade that helped the Grizzlies shed $6 million off their payroll. The Grizzlies traded Marreese Speights, guard Wayne Ellington, guard Josh Selby and a future first-round draft pick to the Cavs for forward Jon Leuer. Although this may sound crazy the Grizzlies did shed their 6 million so they will have more breathing room next season...
