Rose Bowl

I hope that everyone had a great holiday break. Additionally sorry about no posts, we were on break like all of you. There is a Rose Bowl to be played tomorrow and Barry Alvarez will be coaching the Badgers while they go up against a Stanford team who no longer has the late and great Andrew Luck. I think that Wisconsin will beat Stanford by a TD or two but it won't come easy considering that the Badgers have lost their last two rose bowls.

MegaTron MegaRecord

Calvin Johnson last night broke the record of Jerry Rice for the most Receiving yards in a season. Even through Detroit has struggled this year MegaTron has come though.

Playoff Picture NFC

Right now 7 teams in the NFC are fighting for a playoff spot. The Redskins, Seahawks, Cowboys, Bears, Giants, Vikings, and the Rams. This week in football determines a lot about who does or doesn't make the playoffs. If you win today youv'e got a good chance to make it. If you lose you have a unlikely chance to make it. Here are my predictions for these 7 NFC teams today.
New Orleans at Dallas Cowboys 31-27
Washington at Philadelphia Redskins 35-17
St. Louis at Tampa Bay Rams 21-17
Minnesota at Houston Texans 34-21 Adrian Peterson will break the record of most rushing yards in a season
Chicago at Arizona Bears 24-10
Giants at Baltimore Ravens 23-17
San Fran at Seattle 49ers 28- 24
There are picks for the NFC playoff Contenders
Merry Christmas!

Coach of the Year

In the wake of ND's terrible seasons Chip Kelly had finally led them to a respectable record (12-0). This year it was enough to get them to the National Championship vs. the all mighty Crimson Tide. The fact that he led them from no bowl to BCS Championship gives him the Coach of the Year award.

Is this a Joke

This isn't a joke but it's very unusual. When do you think the last time the seahawks, vikings, and redskins all made the playoffs in the same year. Well I will tell you not for a long time. All of these teams have one or two things that make there team. Vikings it is Adrian Peterson, for the redskins it is RG3 and Alfred Morris, and for the Seahawks it is there great defense, Russell Wilson, and Marshawn Lynch. I am not saying that these teams will make the playoffs but right now they are in.

LA Clippers

The LA Clippers are on a 10 game winning streak. At this time the Clippers are 18-6. CP3 is averaging 16 points, 2.5 steals, and 9 assists. Also Blake Griffin is having a better year because he is almost averaging a double double at 18 and 9. The Clippers are making a better case for the playoffs than last year. They could be serious competitors.

Jets vs. Titans

The Titans eliminated the Jets from playoff contention last night with a win 14-10. Chris Johnson had a huge explosive play running 94 yards to the end zone in just over 10 seconds. He ended up having 122 yards and a TD. Shonn Green on the other hand, had only 13 attempts to go along with 68 yards. Jake Locker went 13-22 for 149 yards no TD's, no picks. Sanchez played terrible going 13-28 1 Touchdown, and 4 INT. Tebow had 15 yards rushing and went 0-1 passing

Sunday in the NFL

The Redskins defeated the Browns without RGIII 38-21. The Packers beat the Bears 21-13 to win the division crown. The Saints crushed the Buc's 41-0 behind Drew Brees' 4 TD's and 307 while Freeman had 279 yards and 4 picks. The Falcons beat the Giants 34-0 Matt Ryan had 270 yards and 3 TD's. The Seahawks also beat the Bills 50-17 after beating the Cardinals 58-0 last week. The 49ers also beat the Pat's 41-34. Overall it was an interesting week 15 in the NFL.

Blue-Jays are stacked and ready to roll

Blue-Jays have been busy this off season as they have picked  up some key players including a needed shortstop in Jose Reyes, A decent outfielder in Melky Cabrera. Plus they re-signed Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion. They also got two solid players in Emilio Bonifacio and Maicer Izturisy. Finally, with the biggest pick-up of the blue-jays offseason (if sorces are correct) The Blue-Jays just got the Knuckle-baller R.A. Dickey.

OKC's roll

Oklahoma City is now on a roll winning 9 in a row. KD had 35 and 8 last night when the Thunder defeated New Orleans. OKC is now 18-4 and has a 12-2 record at home.

NFL MVP Race

With a huge win over Mega-Watt's and the Texans defense, Tom Brady seems to have the lead in the MVP race. His dismantling of the Texans (296 yards, 4 TD's, no interceptions) Set the table as he was far more impressive than Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, and maybe even a defensive player like Watt, Aldon Smith, or Von Miller that could possibly be in the running for the MVP. With 3 regular season games left Tom Brady has the highest passer rating at 104.2. He has more passing yards than Manning and Rodgers. Really, the only place where Rodgers and Manning have outdone Tom is completion percentage. But there lead is washed out because they've both thrown more picks than Tom. If Tom plays nearly as good as he did against the Texans. The other hopefuls will have a hard time catching up. There teams record could play a factor too, so Adrian might have just a little bit of a harder time making his way to the top.

As you can see It's still a very close race to get into the playoffs. The Redskins are 7-6 one game out of the Division and wild Card. That is the same with the Cowboys. Another surprising thing is that the Jets are only one game out of the playoffs and the Browns could still make the playoffs this late in the year. So far the Texans, Patriots, Broncos, and the Falcons have clinched the playoffs but the rest is just a Dog Pile.
