Adrian Payne Staying at MSU
Today Michigan State star Adrian Payne announced he will stay at Michigan State for his Senior Season. This puts Michigan State at 3 in the pre-recruiting rankings but will probably fall after the recruiting process as they don't have the appeal of a Louisville or Kentucky. Some other stars who have announced they are staying include Russ Smith, Mitch Mcgary, and CJ Fair. Some who are leaving early are Nerlons Noel, Trey Burke, Ben Mclemore, and Deshaun Thomas.
Ohio State Breaks Indiana's sure hopes at Big Ten Title
Every minute that passed by it was a new game in Bloomington. It could have been Ohio State up by 3 or it could have been Indiana that was on top. At the end of the half OSU only had a 3 point lead over the #2 team in the country. Through out the second half it was still a very tight game going back and forth between who was leading. The real dagger was with 4 minutes left. The Buckeyes went on an 11-2 run to get their lead to 9 points after a Deshaun Thomas 3. With that run Indiana never came back and lost the game. Final score 67-58. Aaron Craft and Shannon Scott both had very nice games as the two guards combined for 23 points, 8 steals, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. Deshaun Thomas scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. For Indiana nobody really had a nice game. Oladipo found himself with 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes. He finished with 7 points. Cody Zeller was the top player for Indiana as he found 17 points.Gonzaga #1 for first time
For the first time ever Gonzaga has finally reached the top. They won the top spot in the AP by a landslide beating former top Ranked Indiana by 44 points in the poll. They are only the 3rd team in the past 10 years that has gotten to #1 not being in one of the Big 6 conferences.
Penn State stuns Michigan
With no wins in the Big 10 this should have been just another game for the Wolverines. But it wasn't at all. Penn State stuck with Michigan all through the first half only losing the half by 3 points. Penn State stepped off the gas a little a found themselves in a 15 point gap early in the second. With the help of D.J. Newbill, Jermaine Marshall, and of course Trey Burke's 6 TO's Penn State found their way back to win a stunner 84-78.
Ohio State coming back after huge loss to Badgers
What a comeback for OSU. After their embarrassing loss to the Badgers, the Buckeyes are finding there groove again. First game after the loss they handed Minnesota a similar score winning 71-45. This is a major blow out too against a sneaky Gopher team. The next game was against the great Michigan St. team. Not very talked about, this Spartan team was in 2nd place in the Big 10 right behind #1 Indiana. Ohio State came out and played one of their best games this season and they were able to knock off #4 Michigan St. 68-60.
Messed up Rankings
After Wisconsin blew out Ohio State they still didn't move up any ranks. Ohio State obviously moved down many ranks except there is a very weird part about this. Ohio State is still ranked ahead of Wisconsin. How does this happen? Even the Ohio State fan I am I know they shouldn't be even be in the top 20. Maybe the NCAA rankers should pay attention more.
Badgers destroy Ohio State
Wisconsin showed they can get good wins and boy was this one of them. Out of the gates this was the Badgers game. In the first half they went on a 18-0 run and led the Buckeyes 24-6 with 7 minutes left. It stayed that way until 3 minutes left in the half when Deshaun Thomas finally scored a couple to close the gap a tad and get the score 22-39 at half. The next half just pushed the lead to more points as OSU allowed 32 points and only scored 27. Nothing very exciting happened after half except for Reggie Evans' awesome dunk. Final score 71-49 Wisconsin blowout.
