Wild night in the NBA
Last night there were some great games in the NBA, some bad ones, and even a couple of historic ones. First we'll start with the Heat-Sixers matchup. The 76ers have had a disappointing season to say the least. Louis Williams (he is currently out with a torn ACL) left them in free agency to go to the Hawks last year, although Jrue Holiday is having an all-star season the rest of the squad is disappointing. They did give the Heat a scare though in their 98-94 loss last night. The Heat extended their streak to 20 games tying the 1970-71 Bucks for the 3rd best winning streak (The 2007-08 Rockets have a 22 game streak and the '71-'72 Lakers have 33 wins). LBJ and D-Wade combined for 48 points, 11 assists, and 15 boards. On the 76ers side Holiday played 43 minutes in a non-overtime game, scoring 21 points and picking up 7 AST's and 7 boards. He was also the only Phili starter to not have 4+ fouls. Philadelphia gave Miami a scare but they couldn't pull it off.
For the not so interesting games, Milwaukee faced off against Washington in a 93-106 loss for an 8th place Bucks squad. Monta had 26 points while Jennings had 10 assists. John Wall had a double-double with 23 and 10 dimes. The Bucks were down by 16 at the half but then they outscored Washington 34-15 in the 3rd, but the Wizards came right back and dropped 31 in the 4th and only allowed 15. The Pacers blew out the Timberwolves 91-107. Rubio had 21 and 10, while Hibbert had 27 and 12 boards for the Pacers. The Rockets beat the suns by 30. A rook on the Rockets named Motiejunas scored a career high and a team high in the game 19 points. Nobody on the Suns had more than 5 boards, which could be the reason for their loss. The Thunder took care of business against the Jazz whose losing streak is now 5, which is opening the window for the Lakers even more. The final was 110-87, Durant had 23 and 10 despite having a disappointing 0 point 0-2 start in the first 11:56 of the game (he had a three point play with 3.2 seconds to go in the quarter). The Kings blew out the Bulls 121-79. Tyreke Evans had 26 and 7, while no Bull had more than 4 ASTs. The Pistons fell to the Warriors by 8. Steph Curry had 31 and 8, while Stuckey had 22 points for the Pistons. Maxiell also chipped in 14 rebounds. The NYK lost in Denver to the Nuggets 94-117. New York was playing without Amare (He is out for 5 more weeks), and with an 80% healthy Melo according to Melo himself. The Knicks are sliding in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, although it looked like they would have a 2 seed at the beginning of the year. Finally the Grizzlies beat the Clippers 96-85. CP3 had 24 and 9, while Lamar Odom led LAC in rebounding with 8. Marc Gasol had 21 and Mike Conley had 11 assists.
Now for the other interesting games. LAL lost to Atlanta 92-96. Kobe hobbled off the court in the final seconds of last nights game with what appeared to be an ankle injury (he is questionable for the Lakers next game, although it is Kobe so questionable usually means probable). Kobe still did have 31 points though, while Dwight grabbed 16 boards but only had 10 points. Devin Harris helped the Hawks get the W scoring 17 points and dropping 7 dimes.
In one of the best games of the night the Celtics beat the Raptors 88-112, but KG had 20 points and 7 boards. Pierce had 15 points on 3-6 shooting. The important part of this game was the fact that KG moved up to 15th on the all time scoring list passing Jerry West, and Paul moved up to 20th on the all time scoring list passing Sir Charles. Overall it was a great night last night in the NBA

Kings Krushing?
As there days might be fading away the Kings crushed the bulls last night. The Kings scored a whopping 121 points and only let the Bulls score 79. Tyreke Evans had 26 points and 7 assists. Also Isaiah Thomas came up with 22 points. The Kings did this without their star player Demarcus Cousins.
