Draft Day

The NFL draft is tonight at 8pm Eastern and no one is the clear number one pick. The Top 5 prospects are all big Linemen. Below I will right about the pluses and minuses of each. They are all in order of there draft grade from www.nfl.com.

Luke Joekel - 95.3 rating. He is a 6 foot 6, 306 pound Offensive Tackle from Texas A&M. He has average speed for a linemen with a 5.30, 40 yard dash time with pretty good strength with his 27 reps at the combine. Luke is the best Offensive Linemen in the cone drill with an outstanding time of 7.40. The down side is he has had very mobile quarterbacks and Alex Smith is not the most mobile QB. He doesn't have very good lower body strength. Is compared to Ryan Clady.

Sharrif Floyd - 94.2 rating. Out of Florida he's an under sized Defensive Tackle standing at 6 foot 3 and 297 pounds. He is a very complete player with above average skill at each drill. He does not excel at any one thing. He runs a respectable 4.92, 40 yard dash to go along with a 30 inch vertical. The down side is he doesn't have elite stamina and changed positions in college so he still is getting use to the d-end spot. Is compared to Muhamed Wilkerson.

Eric Fisher -  Is a towering 6 foot 7, and 306 pound Offensive Tackle from Central Michigan.  He has good  speed for a line men with a 5.05, 40 yard dash  decent strength with also 27 reps. Eric is the Linemen at the broad jump with an astonishing 116 inch broad jump to go along with some nice agility with the best time of 7.44 on the 20 yard shuttle run. The down side is he  hasn't  completely proven himself, needs lower body strength, and lacks hand quickness to strike the other defender.  Is compared to Joe Staley.

Chance Warmack - 93.9 rating.  A 6 foot 2, 317 pound guard out of Alabama. Has elite strength and a great attitude, but with a 5.49, 40 yard dash time he lacks the speed. H is very quick and can pull effective. The only down sides are he lacks speed and can be lazy coming out of his stance at times. Is compared to Chance Nicks

Ziggy Ansah - 93.8 rating.A hit or miss defensive end out out of BYU standing at 6 foot 5 and 271 pounds. A nice 4.63, 40 yard dash time to go along with  the best shuttle run time at 4.26. Doesn't have a very solid build but has bulked up and is still growing. Has elite quickness but lacks stamina after a few plays. Weaknesses are stamina and strength. Is compared to Justin Tuck.
